Mark 12:30-31, states, we are to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.”
We want to put loving our neighbor into action, right here in our community of Nelson County and beyond!

Local Outreaches to Our Community

From Afton to Around to the World

2023 will be our third year of having our "Warehouse Sales."  Some of the proceeds from the sales have supported food distribution to those in need in Central Virginia through Gleaning For The World, Risen Ridge Ministry, The National Center For Healthy Veterans, The Food Pantry in Lovingston, and Piedmont Habitat For Humanity. We will again be providing funds for Habitat as they will build two houses in Arrington in May and June. Some furniture items have been donated to the first house being built.

On August 7, 2021, we celebrated the decisions of our sisters to follow Jesus!

The vision of Risen Ridge is to construct a Christ-centered environment in a farm setting which allows individuals or groups to connect with God through His creation. The hope is that the environment will generate experiences that are spirit-filled and lead to self-discovery that deepens their relationship with our Lord and Savior.
